Regional Preternatural Investigation Team

Pronounced rip-it and is also known as the "spook squad."  It is the Miami Police department's task force that investigates crimes involving the preternatural community. Like in other cities, RPIT has a reputation as a place for careers to go to die. Most of the officers had been assigned to RPIT as a punishment, however the new Lieutenant wants to change all of that. Since taking over about four months ago, Lt. Walsh has started making changes in the hopes that Miami's RPIT will be standard by which all others are measured.

Positions

1. Lieutenant - Administrative head of the task force, answers directly to the Chief of Police 
2. Sergeant - Shift supervisor, answers directly to the Lieutenant
3. Detective - The vast majority of the officers on the task force are detectives
